קוראים לי אברהם רבינוביץ – זוהר, אני בן 29 גר כיום בקיבוץ מפלסים שבעוטף עזה.
המסע שלי באתיופיה התחיל בשנת 2012 לאחר שחרורי מהצבא, כשיצאתי להתנדב באתיופיה . לאחר ההתנדבות המשכתי לטיול, ומה שתוכנן להיות 'טיול של פעם בחיים' המשיך לארבעה ביקורים נוספים במדינה המופלאה הזאת. על אף שהמטרה העיקרית בביקוריי, הייתה פעילותי עם הקהילה היהודית מסורבת העלייה, בכל ביקור יצאתי למסע קטן כדי לגלות עוד אחת מפינותיה הקסומות של אתיופיה. הטיולים הפכו לרישומים אישיים, ולאחר שראיתי באיזו מידה רישומים אלה יכולים לסייע לאחרים – ועד כמה יש צורך במדריך למטייל הישראלי – החלטתי לצאת למסע נוסף עם אתיופיה וכתבתי את 'המדריך למטייל באתיופיה' מדריך הטיולים הראשון בשפה העברית לאתיופיה. מתי שאני לא באתיופיה בגופי אני שם בנפשי הן כמלווה וכאחראי על משלחות שמגיעות לעבוד עם הקהילה היהודית באתיופיה והן כמי שעוזר לבנות מסלולים ומסייע למטיילים רבים לקראת ותוך כדי הטיול שלהם באתיופיה. דברים אלה, והקשרים הרבים שיצרתי במהלך השנים עוזרים לי להיות מעודכן בכל המתרחש וכל מה שחשוב לדעת לקראת הטיסה לאתיופיה.
